We wish we could have been there, but here are a couple of camera phone pics of the film on the big screen:

Many thanks to our dear friend and composer JANE FORD for being in attendance and representing us at the screening!

A FINISHED LIFE at OUTRAGEOUS! Santa Barbara's Gay & Lesbian Film Festival

We've just arrived in SANTA BARBARA for tomorrow's screening of A FINISHED LIFE at
OUTrageous! Santa Barbara's LGBTQ Film Festival.

Here is a link to the festival's website:

A FINISHED LIFE is screening on SUNDAY NOVEMBER 9th at 2pm at the Metro 4 theater
on State Street.

Here is what the local paper (The Santa Barbara Independant) had to say about the film:

A Finished Life: The Goodbye and No Regrets Tour

This documentary opens with two small children, one of whom explains that Uncle Gregg is going on a cross-country trip “because he’s going to die from AIDS” and wants to say goodbye to all his friends and family. After watching his partner, Jeff, die of the same disease, Gregg comes to the conclusion that he doesn’t want to “waste away,” so when his doctors want to switch his medications, Gregg decides to stop taking them and let nature take its course, saying he will end his own life when physical and emotional suffering become too much to bear. Despite the terminal nature of Gregg’s illness and the audience’s knowledge from the outset that this movie will not have a Hollywood-happy ending, A Finished Life is one of the most positive, life-affirming films out there.

And lastly, here's a quick snap of us in our sweet little motel room ( a big thank you to the festival for giving us a room for the night!).

We'll let you all know how the screening goes!

xoxo Michelle  &  Barbara
